The Publishing & Media Expo, part of the Technology for Marketing and Advertising Show organised by UBM, is the largest event for publishing professionals in the UK with representatives from the advertising, branding, circulation, creative, digital, online, editorial, finance, IT, marketing, new media, production, sales and subscriptions areas gathering together over a two day event at Earls Court, on 25 and 26 February.
The Publishing and Media Expo is the UKs only multi-platform Publishing Event which includes:
- 10,592 senior level marketers
- 87% have decision making authority
- 26% in charge of budgets in excess of £1m
- 11% in charge of budgets of over £10m
Digital Shoreditch in association with Digital Innovation Solutions is offering the opportunity for five companies to pitch at the expo to an audience of over 100 publishers, as part of the events ‘Digital Innovation Challenge’.
They are looking for companies with new ideas for solving the core publishing challenges of:
- Monetising content: Exciting and innovative ways for generating revenue from content.
- Generating stronger communities: Improving loyalty, monetising the community and adding extra value through insight from community and web data.
As well as the opportunity to pitch at the show one of the pitching companies will be chosen to be featured in the post show communications to delegates.
This challenge is open to UK based SMEs less than 5 years old and turning over less than a £1M (including your group if a subsidiary). To apply simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org before 12:00 noon on Monday 3rd February, outlining who you are, what you have, and why it should be showcased. Successful companies will be notified by Friday 7th February.
Last year’s winner Platter gained a new customer following the show as well as an angel investor and post show marketing and PR support from UBM including a mail out to the show attendees.
