As previously reported, the Technology Strategy Board is to invest up to £2M in feasibility studies to stimulate innovation across four enabling technology areas: advanced materials; biosciences; electronics, sensors and photonics, and information and communications technology.
The competition opens on 27 January 2014, and the deadline for applications is noon on 12 March 2014. It is open to small or micro companies only, working either singly or in collaboration with one other small or micro company. Projects can last up to four months, and total project costs must not exceed £33k.
The Technology Strategy Board expects to fund feasibility studies conducting pre-industrial research, in which a business partner can attract up to 75% public funding for their project costs. Further details can be accessed here.
A briefing day for potential applicants will be held on 10 February 2014, details of which and a link to register to attend in person can be accessed here, or to participate by way of a webinar here.
An associated promotional event is also being held in Cambridge on 14 January, the details of which are here.
