Easy Money? The Convention is a one-day access to finance event providing insight into the funding available for music projects and will offer essential advice on finance success from those that have achieved it.
This convention, aimed at musicians, entrepreneurs, micro-businesses & SMEs, will see London’s Somerset House host a hotbed of workshops, presentations, 1;1 advice surgeries and a networking marketplace to provide delegates with the information, tools and contacts necessary to get their projects off the ground.
“Remi Harris provides a clear and much needed guide to navigating the tricky geography of the funding landscape.”
Alan Davey, Chief Executive, Arts Council
This is our first salvo towards helping plug the funding gap that has long bedevilled the sector. While this gap arguably exists for an array of reasons, its persistence stymies creative entrepreneurs from achieving their potential, forcing them to battle daily with cash flow issues, dampen their profitability and hamper creative growth.
Kicking off the convention 6 Music/BBC Introducing presenter, artist and grassroots music champion Tom Robinson will interview author of Easy Money? The Definitive UK Guide to Funding Music Projects, Remi Harris, formerly of UK Music and AIM.
