UK film distributors are offering a young designer the opportunity to design a film poster for a UK theatrical release to coincide with FDA’s free exhibition ‘State of the Art Cinema’.

Film posters are a key communication tool to help a film to create and engage with its audience. The poster must convey a film’s essential themes in a style that both matches the film itself and appeals to the desired consumer. From the lettering, to the images, illustrations, symbols and colouring, all of the elements need to work as a ‘compelling’ whole to encourage an audience to learn more and go along to the cinema.
