Following high level discussions with No.10 Downing Street, the event organisers have agreed to bring the Campus Party to the UK for the first time, following a European show held in Berlin in 2012.
Campus Party is a significant international event series for the ICT / digital sector. Virtual and satellite events will also be held either side of the physical event. 20,000 visitors are estimated to attend over a five day programme of live demonstrations plus 600 hours of keynote and seminar content across six stages. Many of these sessions will be streamed live to increase the show’s global reach.
Attendees to the event include the Developer community (gaming, mobile apps and software) and entrepreneurs/start-ups who will form UKTI’s core target audience. The event has a wider aim of promoting skills for the digital economy and is scheduled to include a major policy announcement by Michael Gove MP. Cabinet Office and UKTI’s strategic relations team are co-ordinating the involvement of the PM, DPM and major corporates.
