For the first time the Digital TV Group, in association with the ICT KTN, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and the IET, is holding a competition in which four SMEs will win a free place to showcase their solution or product on the Digital TV Group stand at the IBC 2013 Exhibition in Amsterdam (13th to 17th September 2013).
Each winner will be provided with stand branding, become part of a one page advertisement in the IET’s IBC publication, complementary exhibition passes to IBC and a one year Affiliate Membership of the DTG. In addition to the free passes and space on the Digital TV Group stand, the winners will also receive assistance with press and media activity to maximise coverage and company proposition prior to IBC.
The competition is open to UK-based SMEs who provide an innovative service or product which enables tangible business models for multi device convergence. Historically legacy business models in combination with poor interoperability have led to a market which is drowning in technology and fragmentation. The DTG, ICT KTN, UKTI and the IET are looking to provide exposure to SMEs in two key technology areas:
- Technologies which facilitate and accelerate the adoption of multi-screen to mainstream.
- Spectrum innovation technologies which maximise spectrum efficiency and between TV, mobile broadband and white space devices.
