Today we are unveiling the Games for Film contest finalists ahead of the final pitching event to take place at GameCity 7 in Nottingham this Friday, 26th October. Games for Film is a £75,000 contest run by IC tomorrow, the University of Abertay Dundee and D-Media, in association with Lionsgate UK and the BFI (British Film Institute). Games for Film is designed for UK developers to use the medium of games to promote and excite audiences about two new films, ‘Spike Island’ and ‘Smash and Grab: The Story of the Pink Panthers’ and to demonstrate how games can be successfully used for a film’s cinematic or home entertainment release.
