£300k Digital Innovation Contest – TV and Film

An exciting new £300k contest run by by IC tomorrow will provide participants with  the opportunity to innovate with some of the TV and film industries’ key players.

The six business challenges,  which have been defined as genuine commercial opportunities by eight major organisations from the digital content and media sector, are:

  • Two awards of GBP £30,000 in the ‘second Screen’ challenge, for synchronous or asynchronous delivery supported by Freemantle Media and Hat Trick
  • One award of GBP £30,000 in the ‘accessibility and TV for all’ challenge supported by RNIB
  • One award of GBP £30,000 in the ‘innovation in children’s content’ challenge supported by Zodiak Media
  • One award of GBP £30,000 in the ‘tools to drive multiplatform exploitation’ challenge supported by National Geographic
  • One award of GBP £30,000 in the ‘enhancing programme metadata’ challenge supported by Rovi Corp
  • Two awards of GBP £30,000 in the ‘new forms of marketing’ challenge supported by Virgin Media and Lionsgate

Closing date for submissions is noon on 10th May 2012, finalists will be notified by18th May, and the prototype trials will be launched this autumn.
