Content Creator Sessions – #2 – Gamification and Location Based Services
Thursday 1st December – MDDA, 117-119 Portland Street – 6pm Gamification is applying game design thinking to non-game applications to make them more fun and engaging. According to a 2011 Gartner Research Report <http://manchesterdigital.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05498db875e34b9be1926cd19&id=72eeb10f17&e=64366086ac> it is estimated that by 2015, more than 50 percent of organizations that manage innovation processes will gamify them. In the second Content Creator Sessions we hear from the founder of Matmi, Jeff Coghlan on the theory that gamification is an extremely effective ploy to pull in (and keep) clients and build brand loyalty. Andy Nugent, Director of mobile software company Ravensoft will also give his views about the future of mobile in advertising and gaming and the technologies they think will really take off in the next few years. The event will finish with drinks and networking. It is free for Manchester Digital Members and £10 for non-members.
