Job Description

As the ICT Security & Standards Manager, you’ll provide strategic leadership, development and guidance to the Council and partners, on all matters relating to Information Governance, Assurance and Security. You’ll also define, implement and embed our information strategy, which will include setting out the Council’s strategic information needs, governance, ownership and controls.

Skill Range / Person Specifications

We are looking for someone who can bring experience in these areas as well as records management, archival and retention approaches. You’ll also be confident in designing and implementing effective disaster recovery systems and processes.

With strong technical/architectural background and able to demonstrate expert knowledge of Freedom of Information and Data Protection legislation, Information Security, BS7799, ISO 27001 and business continuity, you’ll be a strategic thinker and have strong leadership and influencing skills at a senior level.
